Empowering Parents with Spinning Babies® Approach
Parent Educators use the Spinning Babies® approach to give parents practical knowledge for birth. Our explanations of birth anatomy offers many parents hope and awaken their inner strength to explore physiological birth. Spinning Babies® offers an antidote for fear of birth.
Your class provides both knowledge and social validation for parents to gain confidence to cope with the unknowns of labor. Two common anxieties expressed as labor draws near are pain tolerance and labor progress.
“Will I be able to handle the pain of labor?” “How much pain will I feel in childbirth?” “What if I go through all that and I have to have a cesarean anyway?” “What if my baby is too big?” “Can my body handle pushing out a baby?” “How can a full-sized baby come out of my vagina!?” “How can a baby with a head that big come out of a hole that small!?”
Empowerment comes from confidence in common challenges. Labor may have seemed daunting before understanding the connection of comfort or pain with the tensions or twists held by muscles, ligaments or fascia, or even the birth position. Learning facts about anatomy gives a pregnant parent new motivation to trust their body and work with their birth.
Our path to empowering parents comes from weaving our teaching skills with our:
- Correct use of paradigm
- Correct use of brand (for a community identity)
- Knowledge of when and why to use of techniques
- Knowledge of contraindications
The role of Parent Educator is different to that of doulas or midwives in how they relate to the materials in a one-on-one client appointment. We are committed to the Parent Educator model because we present a broad sense of multiple options in how parents might use our techniques or materials.
“Easier birth with fetal positioning” has a long lasting purpose. Physiology is more likely to be intact when birth is without trauma.
The process of birthing a baby and birthing a parent is protected by hormonal integrity. The opportunity for skin-to-skin created by easier birthing builds love, connection, and social interaction.
Becoming human is easier.
